The Center for Heritage and Archaeological Studies invites all to a Zoom talk in its "Perspectives on the Past" series next Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 12:00: Ippolita Raimondo, who is completing her Ph.D. thesis at the University of Pisa and who was a visiting scholar at MSU this past spring (co-hosted by Deborah Chatr Aryamontri and Danlin Yu) will speak about her use of aerial photography, surface archaeological survey, GIS, and a very photogenic, 13th century map that is probably a copy of a Roman map, in order to reconstruct part of the ancient road network of Puglia in southeastern Italy.
