Suspicion (1941) - Grant’s first collaboration with Alfred Hitchcock, and one of his most complicated roles: Is the rakish Johnnie simply irresponsible, or something far darker? Joan Fontaine won the Oscar playing his nervous wife, but it’s Grant’s layered performance that hints at shadows beneath his cocky charm.
