Message From The Dean

Greetings graduates of the College of Science and Mathematics (CSAM)!

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the CSAM alumni online community.

With more than 15,000 CSAM alumni, this online community is your place to communicate, network and take advantage of opportunities that allow you to remain in touch with your alma mater and fellow graduates. You can search for and locate former classmates, post your recent accomplishments on class-notes and take advantage of other benefits that will be made available to you.

Our graduates have made and continue to make enormous strides in the world of science and mathematics. We boast renowned drug pioneer Herman Sokol ’37, internationally hailed chemist Dr. Ernest B. Yeager ’45, and award-winning mathematical educator and author Evan Maletsky ’53, among the ranks of our CSAM alumni. Visit our Alumni Spotlight page to read about accomplishments of your fellow graduates. Be sure to share your achievements by posting a class note on the community board or email us to tell us about your successes.

Your feedback and advice is welcome as we move forward to better serve our constituents, both alumni and current students. CSAM Advisory Council Members Barbara Brummer ’68, executive director of The Nature Conservancy of New Jersey, former Novartis executive Ron Califre ’72 and N'Kita Wilson, CEO and Director of Innovation at Catalyst Cosmetic Development, are just a very few examples of dedicated alumni who stay connected with the University and assist today’s students in achieving their goals. We welcome assistance from alumni to help current students explore career opportunities by speaking to a class, helping create or find internships, participating in Career Panel Discussions and/or offering to mentor current students.

There are many opportunities for CSAM alumni to stay connected to their alma mater long after graduation. Your continued involvement in our community is of vital importance.

As a member of the CSAM alumni family, we invite you to return to campus, visit the CELS building, join us for lectures, activities and special events throughout the year.

We look forward to seeing you and hearing from you. If you haven't already done so, please update your information on your personal profile page.

All the best,
