This event will showcase the work from district and university partners involved with the BUILD project, supported by the Building Teacher Leadership Capacity to Support Beginning Teachers grant from the New Jersey Department of Education. Participants will engage in presentations based on the goals of Project BUILD, which include:

• Building induction capacity and achieving systemic change in schools by developing teacher leaders.
• Creating and sustaining school-based professional learning communities.
• Establishing policies and practices that enable administrators, school leaders and teachers to support novice and developing teachers and sustain experienced teachers throughout their careers.
• Ongoing professional development created by teacher leaders within their schools.
