11th Annual Signature Wine Tasting

In the year 2020 only 14% of California’s 4,200 wineries had a female head winemaker. This lack of female representation and leadership has been the historical narrative in the wine industry. Despite the obstacles, women have maneuvered to shape the industry into the glory it is today - dating back to 1152 with Eleanor of Aquitaine! Join us on Wednesday, March 29 at 6:30 p.m. for a night that celebrates females in the wine business the best way possible - tasting their wine.

About the Sommelier - Katherine Fetters

Katherine brings over 30 years in the Hospitality Industry to the table. The Michigan State University School of Hospitality Business sparked her interest in the restaurant industry. She studied fine wines with the American Sommelier Association where she gained her certification. After receiving her certification, she stayed on with their educational committee.

She was certified by the Master Court of Sommeliers which gave her the opportunity to work the floor of some of the best restaurants in New York City, such as Restaurant Alain Ducasse, River Cafe and Patria.

Focused on wine sales, she moved to Martin Scott Wines. Working as a wine consultant to the top on and off premise accounts in Northern New Jersey.  This gave her the opportunity to build boutique brands and explore the esoteric.  When Winebow and Martin Scott merged, she evolved to concentrate on some of the best restaurants in New Jersey. She was the only Winebow professional in the state of New Jersey to reach her advanced level from their educational department.

Katherine is now working with Fedway Associates in their fine wine division.  Specializing in the
boutique, esoteric, small production grape growers and wine makers on the LUX Division.
